The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) By Suzanne Collins

Hardcover374 pages
Published October 31st 2008 by Scholastic Inc. (first published January 1st 2008)
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning?

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Well.. Frst of all wow there not so many books that I want to read again, but this is a book that I absolutely want to read again. This book is just so good, because of everything that is has even the summary its good.
Katniss is brave and loves her family and she'll do anything for them. She has such a good heart that I wish I could be like that she has so many values that I admire her.I love this book because most of all the characters they're just so wonderful, and the tributes some are smart and Peeta oh my Peeta he's so different from the others and I only can say that I'm in love with him.
And  I realized I believed a government could be this arrogant and wrathful, that society could be this absurd, that the common people would be too afraid to fight back. When people are pitted against each other instead of turning on the establishment they often fight each other within the failed system, fighting for that elusive top spot or ignoring the pain of others grateful to escape tragedy themselves.
I found it interesting that even in this life and death situation, the kids refused to do anything that would displease the Capitol and make them look rebellious or unwilling to play, or worse emotional and disturbed by death.
This is such an awesome book I will totally read it again and the movie, I'm going to do a review about the movie and the book comparing and describing the characters and some scenes.
Totally 5/5

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Hardcover480 pages
Published February 1st 2011 by HarperTeen (first published January 1st 2011)
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

W-O-W, F-A-N-A-T-A-S-T-I-C, A-W-E-S-O-M-E, P-E-R-F-E-C-T book I have ever read in my life.
First of all  this book its also different unique and fantastic, I had never read something like that so powerful so beautiful so perfect I actually consider this book as my favorite  . And Lena; this character its so brave and has a really nice personality and not just Lena but the other characters too, are spectacular. I love this book, and Lauren Oliver's writing is still gorgeous and heartrending. She's built a fascinating world here that beautifully underscores the importance of love and sacrifice. The characters are really good and the boy that Lena fell in love with its one of my favorite characters. And I can't wait for the second one.
Overall, this book was so much fun I absolutely recommend it

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine #1) by Ransom Riggs

Hardcover352 pages
Published June 7th 2011 by Quirk Books
A mysterious island.

An abandoned orphanage.

A strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography,Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

First of all the cover and the title tells everything about the story, the pictures the style of the book.
The book is about a boy called Jacob that when his grandfather dies, he tells Jacob to go to the island the only place where he can be safe; so Jacob goes to the island with his dad and he tries to find Miss Peregrine's and many peculiar things happen after that.
The pictures of the book are really good for the story because everything matches perfectly and the story of love and the characters are unique because this book is different from others and that's important about books.
But there were some parts like at the beginning and the middle was really boring and I was really desperate about what was happening during the book. But I absolutely cant wait for the second book to come out.

The Last Book In The Universe by Rodman Philbrick

Paperback240 pages
Published 2000 by Scholastic
In this dystopian world, books are replaced by mind-probes, unusable by narrator Spaz 15ish, because of the epilepsy he is named for. After the "Big Shake" apocalyptic earthquake fells "backtime" skyscrapers and civilization, Normals survive in the concrete-smog grey Urb by working for "cut your red" killer gang bosses. Sent to rob Ryter, the boy instead gains a mentor, "gummy" old mostly toothless writer, who guides their quest by the sun. Far away, where Spaz was banished for his illness, beloved unrelated younger sister Bean is dying.
This book takes place in an imaginative and disturbing story about a bleak, dangerous future world ("the Urb") and a teenage boy who must make his way through it to reach his ill adoptive sister. The boy is called Spaz, because he has epilepsy. This prevents him from using the drug-like mindprobes that are turning the others in the Urb into zombies. As a result, Spaz still has his memory, unlike the others; and an old man known as Ryter (one of the few people left who still remembers and values books) accompanies him on his quest and teaches him to value it. As they fearfully cross from one gang-ruled territory to another, they are joined first by a small boy and then by a "proov," a girl who lives in Eden, a beautiful land forbidden to the residents of the Urb. She is able to help Spaz's sister.
This book is just fantastic, at the beginning its a little bit slow but at the end is unpredictable.

Before I Fall By Lauren Oliver

Paperback470 pages
Published October 25th 2011 by HarperCollins (first published March 2nd 2010)

Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.
The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.
HILARIOUS thats the only word I can think about this book
This book has so many things like bravery, love, confidence and more that I can't explain.
I hate this book and I extremely love it.
In this book, Sam comes to the final realization that she is a bitch. I know I related to this book more perhaps than some other readers would because I had to come to my own realization about that. It is a strange and aggravatingly unsettling experience to wake up and realize the world neither revolves around you, nor should it, because you are a horrible person.
And of course my favorite author is Lauren Oliver because of her awesome writing and wonderful books, and specially this one.
